REMINDER: ARCTIC MONKEYS at the Fillmore Miami Beach
By distilling the sounds of Franz Ferdinand, the Clash, the Strokes, and the Libertines into a hybrid of swaggering indie rock and danceable neo-punk, Arctic Monkeys became one of the U.K.'s biggest bands of the new millennium. Their meteoric rise began in 2005, when the teenaged bandmates fielded offers from major labels and drew a sold-out crowd to the London Astoria, using little more than a self-released EP as bait. Several months later, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not became the fastest-selling debut album in British history, entrenching Arctic Monkeys in the same circle as other multi-platinum acts.

BAR vs. WMC
BAR, formerly known as PS14 takes on its first conference this year with a line-up that puts even some of Miami's biggest nightclubs to shame.
POPLIFE presents WMC 2010
I hate to associate the word 'EPIC' with any parties but if I had to the homies at POPLIFE definitely come to mind. After over a decade of throwing some of the most precocious and convivial parties, POPLIFE continues its meritoriously fun legacy with a handful of essential events featuring some of music's most boisterous and avant-garde figures. Here are just a few of the parties POPLIFE is delivering for WMC 2010:
Deckstar X WMC 2010
Last year we lost some of the greatest and most influential musicians of our time and Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein was one of those. To honor and celebrate his life, Deckstar (DJ AM's Friends and Management Team) are taking over LIV at the Fountaine Bleu to pay proper tribute to their fallen brother and comrade. Following Thursday night's tribute, the Deckstar DJs are keeping the party going Friday poolside at the BLADE also located in the Fountaine Bleu.
