TYPOE at The New SPINELLO GALLERY on the Terrace
TYPOE serves up some of his childhood idols such as Jesus in "FTW" (Fuck The World), where you'll find a small sculpture of the big "J" nailed to the cross strapped with a hand gun on his waist and an assault riffle on his back, boldly hanging above the entrance door of the gallery. A sculpture of his virgin mother, "Mary," shows up on a pedestal sporting a clown nose with black shifty eyes. The most arresting sculptures in the exhibition are "Pine apples," where three identical Guardian Angels are lined up, each adorned with a golden hand grenade headdress camouflaged as a juicy pineapple. via SPINELLO GALLERY.
SPINELLO GALLERY: 531 NE 82nd Terrace, No. 3, Miami, FL - 33138
SOLO EXHIBITION: TYPOE / "I WANT TYPOE SO EFFIN BAD"

Chainsaws, Chicks, and Parrot Blood
So I started my day by visiting my friend Joe who was at Carousel Photography Studio where he and another friend of mine, Jared Ryder, were shooting for Joe's clothing label called Last Rights. (This line is going to be major!)Check out here site LastRightInc.com
When I arrived they were taking these crazy shots of tropical birds by throwing them up in the air to get an in flight image to accentuate the beautiful feathers that are sometimes only visible with an open wingspan.
I left the studio to meet up with my homie K-Razor. We were invited to eat at RIK RAK by chef Ryan Nielson. Ryan aka Punchy is also Jim Johnson's personal chef and co-produces with Jim.
Instead of ordering from their menu, we just let Ryan do his thing and hook up some serious grubbage.
RIK RAK has a really cool concept. They function as a high-end beauty salon with a cafe and clothing boutique all in one space. A cool space with a good atmosphere. I met the owner Rik Waters. Super cool dude.
The food just kept coming... Not used to eating that much food for lunch. Pero, big big ups to Punchy and Rik for the invite and blessing us with the great eats. Check them out at here www.rikraksalon.com.
After stuffing our faces, K-Razor and I headed back to the studio where they were shooting the more fun stuff.
"Try this on for size" OG Mickey Munday (Cocaine Cowboys) was on set and he convinced me that I could be a cowboy too... just by switching hats.
Jared in action... yea he has a hard job.
Naked girls and chrome chainsaws!!!
Sorry for the picture quality... I took all these shot with my phone.

OVERTHROW Presents VNDLSM at Heathrow UK Lounge
NOTORIOUS Miami Screening
So I was invited to the NOTORIOUS Miami Screening hosted by BAD BOY and Fox Search Light Pictures. Some of the other guests included Terrell Owens of the Dallas Cowboys, Kelly Rowland, and a bunch of other pro athletes, rappers, and a lot of beautiful women.
To my surprise the movie was actually decent. GRAVY played a convincing portrayal of BIG, and even though the movie seemed a little water-downed, it was still entertaining. If you are a BIG fan you should definitely see this flick. NOTORIOUS opens this Friday in theaters everywhere.
Big thanks to Mark McKenzie and Dallas Foster for showing love.
A few years back DJ VLAD, DIRTY HARYY, and DJ GREEN LANTERN put together a series of mixes called RAP PHENOMENON, which in my opinion is a must have series for any Biggie or Pac fans.
Here are the links to both the B.I.G and TUPAC Rap Phenomenon tapes enjoy!

Farewells, Ferraris, and Four Awards
Started out Saturday night at the Bernice Steinbaum Gallery. She was super nice and had this cool installation of suspended leaves. The pic below really doesn't due it justice, or most of the pics in this post because I forgot my camera and took all these shots with my phone.
Then my friend PEST aka 131 and I shot over to the beach to say goodbye to my friend Judd Katz. Judd works for Crispin Porter + Bogusky and they recently informed him that they were shipping him off, I mean transferring him, to Boulder, Colorado. I met Judd because he was assigned to do a piece on myself and the Street Art scene in Miami in which I took Judd and photographer Jared Ryder on a tour through the streets of Miami to document some of the murals that were up around the city (mostly in the hood). Anyways ever since then, Judd and I have been mad cool.
I get to this spot where Sam and X (friendwithyou), Alvaro (Free Gums), Pres (Crispin Porter), my home-girl Evelyn and some other friends were having a little going away thing for him at this little karaoke bar at the Shlebourne. I couldn't quite figure out when or where I had seen this place before. It finally hit me...this was the place where they shot this little DJ Khaled and T-Pain video.
I was going to get up on stage and completely massacre "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey but was informed that someone had just sung that right before I arrived. Which worked out for me because I really didn't want to follow this couple that were on stage before I was supposed to go up and sounded as if they were professionals (maybe wedding singers?). So before they finished I snuck away to visit my dude K-Razor who was spinning at the Shore Club were we got some free drinks and put one up under the full moon on the Sky Bar. So after we got a little nice, we hit the streets again.
So while walking out of the Shore Club I saw an Enzo parked out front. Now I am pretty numb to Lambos, Ferraris, Bugattis, Rollies and all of the other super sports and luxury cars because there is a crazy abundance of them here in Miami. However, I still have to change my pants whenever I see an Enzo. By this time I realized that it was too late to hit the Tattoo Convention that was going on that weekend and where 4 of our Tattoo artists were exhibiting. The rest of the night was more blurry than these pictures..I think I ended up at Pop Life or something?.
So I roll out of bed around noon on Sunday, hungover as hell, and some how managed to get dressed and head to the "Taste of the Grove Food Festival" where I stuffed my face and pounded brews. By this time the convention was ending and I came to the realization that I wasn't going to make it. That's the only thing I regret missing this weekend because because my homies took home 4 awards including a couple of first place awards.

IPSVM "Wildstyle" Skateboard by Loren Kulesus
Designer Loren Kulesus brings us his New York Wild Style Graffiti influenced IPSVM Skateboard. The IPSVM not only offers a unique modernist design but also practicality and function. I doubt that brick and mortar skateshops are going to accept the IPSVM as a legitimate skate product but the concept is still cool.
